What happens next?

Over the next couple months, we will be working on synthesizing the pubic input received so far and drafting the various elements of the Draft Master Plan Update.  The Draft Master Plan will be presented in late summer/early fall at a Public Open House (check back for details).   That open house will be your opportunity to tell us if we captured your vision in the Draft Master Plan, or if it needs some adjustment and revision. All input received at the Open House will be used to refine the document and prepare it for adoption by the City.

In the mean time, we will be meeting with the Planning Commission every 3rd Tuesday to work through the Master Plan development. These are designed to be official Planning Commission work sessions, rather than public input opportunities, but all meetings are open to the public.

Next Planning Commission work session:

6:00 pm

May 18, 2010

Room 201, EIT Building

1050 Chilton Circle

Great Basin College Campus

Please come, observe the process, and continue to share your comments and suggestions on the website and Facebook pages!

Community Workshop Input Maps

We have grouped together all public comments received at the visioning workshop, and displayed them in a series of maps.  The final Elko Master Plan update will include a section called the Elko Community ATLAS.  These community input maps are the first of several maps to be included in this section.

Click here to open a PDF of the community input maps.

If you have additional ideas to add to the maps, please add them to the interactive, online map.

Thanks again for all the great input!
